Feudal

My work is a commentary on the intricate feudal ideology of society. Reflecting on my gender and cultural identity, I looked into the intersection of traditional culture and contemporary life. The decayed moths in the background represent Feudalism that shackles women in the past. The innate captivity of the mind makes people feel extremely depressed. Due to the development of the times, the younger generations seem to be more open-minded. I painted a glowing camellia that symbolizes the free and blooming mind. Knowledge is reconstructing our life, especially the position of women in contemporary life.
