Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

TRCL (The RICE Company Ltd) is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity with IPC (Institutions of Public Character) status. TRCL seeks to harness the potential of the arts to benefit under-served children and youths in the community. TRCL manages The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, arts training centres (The Little Arts Academy and 10 Square Youth) in three locations across Singapore and two subsidiaries (Global Cultural Alliance Ltd and Millet Holdings Pte Ltd).

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with Head of Department and Chief Operating Office to review, plan and execute innovative fundraising initiatives such as specific campaigns and special events to support fundraising efforts and meet fundraising targets 
  • Work with the team to develop and curate meaningful programs or programs collaboratively with stakeholders for long term impact 
  • Prepare customised proposals based on these programs to present to prospective donors. 
  • Strategise and outreach to individuals, corporates and foundations to build and manage pipeline of existing and future donors 
  • Work with the team in Donor Management — maintaining and updating records, proactively seeking out and building relationships with existing donors through consistent, sustained and valuable engagement to maintain donor loyalty and conversion 
  • Work with the team in preparing donor reports, appeals, and impact updates to internal and external stakeholders 

 

Candidate Requirements

Technical Competencies: 

  • Sound knowledge of the charity sector in Singapore  
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Numeracy and budgeting skills 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills

Core Competencies: 

  • A desire to cultivate and network with new stakeholders, donors, and sponsors for the underserved   
  • Keen to grow professionally as a fundraiser — being exposed to and contribute to different aspects of the work 
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast paced, unstructured environment 
  • Ability to work well in a team  

Preferred achievements / characteristics: 

  • Bachelor degree in fundraising, marketing, public relations, mass communications, or related disciplines 
  • 7 years of relevant experience in fundraising, community relations, sales or marketing, preferably in the arts sector  
  • Experience and track record in fundraising and ability to achieve financial targets 
  • Experience managing a team 
  • Familiar with and passionate about the cause of The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (https://baf.sg) which strives to make the arts accessible for children and youths from financially disadvantaged backgrounds and provide them with opportunities to discover and pursue talents 
  • A passion for and some knowledge of the arts is a pre-requisite

Communications Manager

Details

TRCL manages The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, arts training centres (The Little Arts Academy and 10 Square Youth) in three locations across Singapore and two subsidiaries (Global Cultural Alliance Ltd and Millet Holdings Pte Ltd).

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with Head of Department, Chief Operating Officer and a team to develop internal and external communications strategy and content, which includes crafting media releases for all the projects and programmes undertaken by the TRCL group of companies 
  • Manage the group’s communication channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram)  
  • Managing the group’s various stakeholders 
  • Developing and enhancing the branding and positioning of the TRCL group of companies  
  • Oversee the team in the above  

 

What we’re looking for:

Technical Competencies  

  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills 
  • Able to independently produce clear, concise, and well-written marketing communication collaterals, tailored to various platforms including press releases, websites, videos and social media 
  • Able to plan and execute strong social media campaigns 
  • Able to grasp, have an overview of and internalise the organisation’s needs quickly 

Core Competencies 

  • A  personable and meticulous person with leadership and excellent communication skills, who can build upon a network of media contacts 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured and changing environment 
  • Possess flexibility to be able to adjust strategies when any changes occur (in timelines, production or change of project messaging) 
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and strong initiative; proactive and collaborative 
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills; able to prioritise and work under pressure 
  • Ability to work well in a team  

Preferred Achievements/characteristics  

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Public Relations or similar discipline related to writing and communications. 
  • 7+ years of working experience with a strong background in communications and marketing or journalism. Experience in the arts / non-profit sector is a plus. 
  • Up to speed with the latest developments in and knowledgeable of optimising the use of social media platforms for marketing & publicity purposes (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)  
  • A passion to serve in the non-profit sector 
  • A passion for and some knowledge of the arts is a pre-requisite

Outreach & Admin Manager

Details

The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) is a charity fund that was set up to offer opportunities for financially-disadvantaged children and youths who display artistic potential and commitment to be formally trained in the arts.

The Little Arts Academy (LAA) provides a creative learning environment and a broad-based arts curriculum where all children and youths can discover their artistic potential and develop skills and personal values that will enable them to transcend personal, social and financial circumstances. LAA also manages 10 Square Youth, which runs an arts incubation programme aimed at providing the youth with the knowledge and expertise to be self-sustaining should they pursue a career in the arts.

BT BAF and LAA are managed by TRCL. We are looking for an Outreach and Admin Manager capable of strategising and executing the Outreach programmes to reach out to potential beneficiaries.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and reach out to beneficiaries through various channels to join LAA’s Programmes
  • Planning and organising outreach initiatives
  • Onboarding beneficiaries to the Programme eg. conduct orientation programme for parents and beneficiaries
  • Build and maintain relationship with schools and relevant social service agencies
  • Manage student database
  • Ensure internal controls and governance structures are complied with
  • Liaise with Finance department on financial matters eg. collection of fees and payments
  • Ensure smooth day to day running of administration office.
  • Oversee administration matters
  • Manage and guide Outreach and administration executive

 

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in the relevant field;
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Successful candidate will work a 5-day week from Tuesday to Saturday and as events require.
