Stronger Together

A tribute to Prime Minister Mr Lawrence Wong, inspired by a moment that deeply moved me during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was only 10 then, doodling while my parents watched a parliamentary speech. Mr Wong paused mid-speech, overwhelmed with emotion—that unexpected vulnerability caught my attention. His heartfelt words showed me that leadership could be compassionate. Though I didn’t understand politics, I felt the weight of his sincerity. Today, I honour that memory through art, reflecting on how Singapore emerged stronger together. This piece celebrates unity, resilience, and the impact of empathetic leadership during one of our nation’s toughest times.
