My Mind, My Body and Me
Acrylic on Canvas
48 x 16″
An artwork about coming to terms on living in my own body. Losing weight, growing taller, getting injured, falling sick. Through all of this rapid change and metamorphosis, my mind has stayed the only constant in this amalgamation of ever changing goop. Sometimes, my mind and my body are two completely separate beings, my body feels weighted and resisting command and my head dense with words. All this makes me think of my body more as an accessory attached to a mind; a disobedient accessory I don’t necessarily like all the time, most of the time.
