ChariTrees 2025 Lights Up Marina Bay with “Blossom of Hope” Celebrating SG60 and the Spirit of Care

Singapore, [14 November 2025] – The spirit of giving shines once again as ChariTrees 2025 transforms the Marina Bay waterfront into a meaningful display of care and community. Returning with the theme “Blossom of Hope” the annual charity initiative continues to rally Singapore’s corporate and community partners in a celebration of care
resilience and unity in tribute to Singapore’s 60th year of independence (SG60).

This year’s light-up officiated by Madam Halimah Yacob, Chancellor, Singapore University of Social Sciences and Former President of the Republic of Singapore featured a spectacular showcase of 73 decorated Christmas trees, including one lush garden landscape and a Big Signature Tree symbolising growth and community togetherness.

Adding a futuristic touch to the opening ceremony on 14 November 2025, a robot from Astra Intelligence Pte Ltd made a special one-time appearance during the launch. Stationed at the Big Signature Tree the robot was dressed with festive elements and greeted guests and passersby with cheerful wishes of Merry Christmas. Its presence symbolised how innovation and compassion can co-exist reflecting Singapore’s spirit of progress and the Blossom of Hope theme of growth connection and community. The ceremony also featured a hip hop performance by students from The Little Arts Academy supported by The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF), while the Singapore Police Force Quintet performed a medley of Christmas carols.

“From a festive robot sharing Christmas cheers to our young artists performing from the heart we see how creativity technology and community spirit can unite to illuminate Singapore’s path of growth connection and hope.”

Growing Together through Care and Community

Under the returning theme “Blossom of Hope”, ChariTrees 2025 continues to embody the belief that every act of kindness helps another charity to blossom. The continuity of this theme first introduced last year signifies the initiative’s long-term commitment to nurturing a more caring and connected community.

“The theme Blossom of Hope reflects how our community continues to grow and flourish together,” said Mr. Tan Puay Kern, Chairman of the ChariTrees 2025 Organising Committee. “It represents our collective journey of growth and giving as each year we strengthen our bonds and deepen our care for one another.
