The 13-19 Art Prize is more than just a competition – it’s a platform for young artists in Singapore and Southeast Asia to shine. Launched in 2021, this annual art competition celebrates creative talent while inspiring the spirit of giving through arts.
Open to aspiring artists aged 13 to 19 years old, the competition pushes boundaries, encourages bold artistic expression, and showcases fresh perspectives. But beyond recognition, it’s about using art to make a difference.
All winning pieces are exhibited at prominent venue and auctioned to raise funds for The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF), which has empowered over 25,000 underserved children and youth to pursue their artistic dreams (baf.sg). Your art doesn’t just tell a story — it transforms loves.

Are you a young artist ready to showcase your creativity? The 13-19 Art Prize is your chance to shine, win prizes, and make a difference through art!
- Digital Category is open to youths aged 13 – 19 across Southeast Asia
- Open (Physical) Category welcomes young artists aged 13 – 19 residing in Singapore
Students are free to create artworks on any theme or subject, expressing their unique perspectives and ideas. This year, we also encourage participants to commemorate SG60 by creating artworks that celebrate the people, places, and moments that make our nation special — whether through our rich history and culture, iconic landmarks, or the little quirks that define everyday life in Singapore.
A panel of renowned artists and industry professionals will judge submissions based on concept, originality, aesthetic quality, and technical skill. Winners will be awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze or Merit Award, with exciting cash or voucher rewards.
But this competition is more than just recognition — it’s about using art to give back. Winning artworks will be exhibited at a prominent venue and auctioned online, with proceeds supporting The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF). This fund empowers underserved children and youth with access to the arts, helping them develop skills, confidence and aspirations.
Through the auction, art lovers and collectors will have a chance to own these incredible works while contributing to a meaningful causes. As an added incentive, winning bidders enjoy a 250% tax deduction on their artwork purchases (excluding delivery and related fees).
